I am a married working empty nester of two grown children and two granddaughters. My husband and I became the legal guardians to our granddaughters when our USAF daughter deployed overseas in 2008.
I now understand the challenges of military families facing deployment and grandparents caregiving to their grandchildren. Their are so many challenges and emotions when you become the legal guardian to your grandchildren. I believe everyone in a family that has a loved one deployed, experiences even their own deployment. Your own lifestyle changes.
I would love to hear from those experiencing the responsibility of being a legal guardian to your grandchildren. I have heard that over a million children are living with their grandparents.
I know the anxiety, fear, and many more emotions you experience. I would like to share and help those how I got through that time.
Hi Debbie, I heard you interviewed yesterday on Donna’s webinar. What a great topic for a book. So many will benefit from it.
I’m going to order your book. Let’s talk as I have some ideas to further highlight your book and get the word out as well as use it myself in my business.
Hats off to you for taking on this challenge to help out your family members.
Thank you Sheryl,
Donna has been a real inspiration for me. Are you working on writing a book?
Best Wishes
Debbie Nichols
Your book will be encouraging not only to military families, but to other grandparents who find themselves raising their grandchildren. I will check back when it is available for sale.
